I am a passionate and versatile Educator with over 7 years of experience teaching Humanities and English across diverse international settings. Currently, I serve as an ALT in Japan, where I support English language instruction and promote cultural exchange within local schools—an enriching journey that continues to sharpen my adaptability, creativity, and global perspective. Throughout my teaching career, I have delivered a range of curricula including the Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level, International Baccalaureate (IB), and the Kenyan national curriculum. My subject expertise spans History, Social Studies, Business Studies, and ESL. I take pride in designing lessons that are inquiry-driven, competency-based, and relevant to real-world contexts. Prior to relocating to Japan, I was at Jawabu International School, where I served as Head of Humanities and Year 11 Form Teacher, overseeing curriculum planning, mentoring colleagues, and supporting student growth academically and personally. In previous institutions, I held additional leadership roles such as Assistant Head of Department (Exams), Head of History and House Master, contributing to academic management, student welfare, and school-wide initiatives. Beyond the classroom, I’ve successfully coached students in high-level academic competitions such as Debate, East African Model United Nations (EAMUN), and the World Scholars Cup. Under my mentorship, students have qualified for prestigious events like the World Scholars Global Rounds in Bangkok and the Tournament of Champions at Yale University. I hold a Bachelor of Education (arts) from Kenyatta University, a TEFL Certificate, and I am currently pursuing a second degree in Computer Science. I am also a registered teacher with the Teachers Service Commission-Kenya and have completed extensive professional development in curriculum design, academic leadership, and inclusive assessment practices.
