About Me
Just a normal guy that enjoys teaching math and helping people understand the topic (and hopefully have them enjoy it as well).
Teaching Approach
I like to have a conversation with my students and identify what level they are at in their understanding of the material. Relating topics to their interests to help motivate them and build a connection to the real world, when possible. Technology is also integrated into the experience, when appropriate. I try to have students make "discoveries" on their own through guiding questions and relate material to previously learned concepts to build on prior knowledge.

Work Experience
Professional background and expertise that shapes my teaching approach.
Teacher of Mathematics
East Orange School District
I taught full time at a High School in East Orange, NJ. I have experience teaching Advance Placement Statistics, Pre-Calculus, Geometry, Algebra 1, and SAT Math Preparatory skills. I enjoy working with a variety of age levels, and do my best to present my courses in a relevant, approachable way to my students. I often infuse technology and web resources into my classrooms to enhance the learning experience and accessibility of materials to the students (i.e. having students engage in explorations on Desmos classroom activities, assigning practice on Khan Academy or review/tests on Edmodo, or providing digital study aids via Google Classroom).
Adjunct Professor
Montclair State University
I was an instructor for a computer based, in-class Intermediate Algebra course at Montclair State University for a summer session.
