About Me
I am a highly experienced Upper Secondary/ High School biology and science teacher who has worked in public and private schools, including international schools, for over 18 years. I have been involved with many curricular, including Cambridge, Pearson Edexcel, American Common Core, and College Press AP. I have also guided students in SAT and Egyptian Scholarstic Tests, apart from IGCSE, AS & A Level exams preparations. I believe in the transformative power of education, and the ability of every one of my students. I employ modern methodologies in my classes to ensure the success of my students.
Teaching Style
I strongly believe in motivating my students to keep them engaged. I use ICT and other modern technologies in my classes in order to meet the demands of the Generation-Z student. As a biology major teacher, I use a lot of interactive visuals in my sessions, including 3D diagrams, video animations and simulations. I am a strong believer of experiential learning, thus I include laboratory investigations and technical projects in my classes. During my sessions, a lot of realia and real life examples are used, in order to give real, meaningful learning to my students. I also give tasks that help to develop problem-solving and investigative skills within my learners. Over the years, I have accumulated a number of skills which positions me as an examinations coach. I am able to prepare students for examinations in a very short period because I begin by introducing them to the real exam questions straight away, using past papers, mark schemes and examiner reports. My students will get the real feeling of the exam environment in every content they learn.
